Computers or Laptops ?

I have a laptop but lately it has broken down and I am going to get a new one, But i'm not sure if I want to get a computer or a laptop as computers are more value for money but laptops are portable and for me are easier to use.

So what do you use ? and Why ?

Depends really I'm going for a laptop next as I have no where have a desktop at my new place but would prefer a desktop as you can have the hardware you want and you can get a much more powerful machine for a lot less. Until Ive sorted money for a laptop I'm doing all this from my Nokia smartphone

I would prefer a Desktop computer instead of a Labtop.

Desktop computers are a lot more powerful and reliable and even cheap while a Labtop can over heat quite quickly and they don't last very long.

The best bet would be to get a Desktop computer as they are more reliable and in the long run you will be getting more out of your money =)

I would buy I desktop if we had the room Ive always had desktops but Im in a two bedroom flat with 4 people livinig here so we just dont have the room.

I have a Laptop, i feel comfortable with laptops

I can carry it anywhere, Desktops you can't move them..

But desktops have big advantages like you can add extra hard drives, you could change hardwares but it's not easy for laptops

I own a laptop, and I don't feel like I need a desktop at all even though I admit it's more cheap compared to laptops of the same range and more capability to install more hard drives and stuff.

But looking at how the technology has improved, nowadays laptop can bring up to 500 GB hard drives and 8 GB ram memories which are more than enough. You may install external hard drives too if you need the extra space. Just make sure to buy what you're looking for. Let's say you want it for gaming, spend wisely on what you really need, graphic card, video gard, ram, etc. If you use it for email and social network only, why spend $1000, get my point?

I only have 2.5 GB RAM, 140 GB hard drive and my laptop runs smoothly most of the time with multiple browsers opened, photoshop, dreamweaver, music playing and a bunch of stuff and it still works great.

I use both, but computers are much better than laptops in my opinion.. It's much easier to work on..

I use both,but I am more comfortable with Laptop As I can carry it anywhere and I need to travel a lot,thats why Most of the time I use Laptop

The good thing about laptop is that you can bring it wherever you want to go with no hassle because it is light weight compare to desktop... On the other hand, desktop is good also in such a way that it is much easier and cheaper to upgrade it compare to laptop.
